Tonight's basketball games have changed.
JH "A" team girls will start at 4:30. There will be no "B" team boys game.
HS games will start at 5pm.
Teacher In-service is on January 15th. No school for students.
The Junior/Senior High School will not have early release tomorrow, Friday the 11th. We will release all students at 3:30pm.
Due to the conditions on the county roads, USD 398 will not have school on Wednesday, January 10, 2024. The drifting of snow and snow/ice pack has presented significant challenges and county roads will not be cleared by tomorrow. Thank you for your understanding. The BOE meeting will still be held at the District Office at 6:00 pm.
Thursday evening will be busy!
Our postponed HS game with Little River has been rescheduled to Thursday in the Brown Gym starting at 6pm.
The JH will host Solomon in the New Gym starting at 4:30pm.

Dear Stakeholders,
USD 398 is excited to announce our new library system, Follett Destiny, which was purchased using a $4000 grant from the Dollar General Literacy Foundation. This purchase allowed the district to upgrade the current outdated library software. With the upgrade comes the ability to have both students and parents look at books available at both buildings.
Parents and students can access the library books in one of two ways. The first way is to go to our website, USD398.net, and under District Resources is the link for Library Resources. This will take you directly to the webpage and you can choose the library you want to explore. The second way is to go to usd398.follettdestiny.com. This will take you to the same website that is linked on our webpage.
The district would like to thank the Dollar General Literacy Foundation for this opportunity. It will allow us to grow and promote our library capabilities. The district understands the importance of libraries in education and is excited for the possibilities this grant will provide.
The game against Little River scheduled for tonight 1/5 has been postponed. We will release information about the rescheduled game as soon as possible.
Over Christmas break, the new kitchenette was installed in the Wee Warriors Daycare center. The pictures below represent the finished product. The district would like to thank the Patterson Family Foundation for the grant funding and to Vogt’s Construction for all their work in completing this project. The funds received by Peabody-Burns USD #398 are part of the Patterson Family Foundation Rural School District Child Care Grant program, created to help address the child care gap in rural communities. The program allows districts in the foundation’s designated counties to apply for funding for short-term operational, training, and certification needs or for minor improvements aimed at helping new or existing facilities solve childcare challenges.

What is symmetry? Symmetry is a being that is made up of exactly similar parts. Third graders practiced this math concept by creating radial symmetry paper relief projects. They did a great job!
